Welcome to Windswept Training LLC

Here at Windswept, we teach riders of all ages, from 3 and up, valuable lessons that can be applied in everyday life. Our priority is to teach students how to properly care for and interact with horses. We help students grow in their riding abilities. At Windswept Training, we teach in a different way from others. What sets us apart is that we concentrate on the whole body using training in kinesiology to teach the rider to be aware of their body and how to use it properly to influence the horse. This creates a true partnership between horse and rider.
We love the bond that horses and their riders share but we also understand that not everyone is able to own a horse of their own, which is why we offer the leasing of some of our horses. This makes the dream of horse ownership that much more real. For people who half lease they will have one lesson a week along with two other scheduled free rides in any of our riding spaces.
Here our goal is to provide the besst care for your horse. What is best for the horse ALWAYS comes first. All horses get access to hay or grass year-round along with 24/7 turnout, grain twice a day, owner provided supplements, blanket changes as needed. Jen has a wealth of knowledge that she has gained from years of experience caring for countless horses. She has the respect of the local and national horse community, including some of the best veterinarians in the country. Your horse is cared for as if it were her own. In addition, boarders have the ability to keep a tack trunk on-site and have a hook and saddle rack for their tack, both in the main barn and arena stalls. They will have full access to the indoor arena, outdoor jump field, open riding space and the round pen. There are also monitored security cameras and the owner lives on site.
Jen has over 20 years experience with horses and has trained a variety of breeds to different futures including Eventing, Hunter/Jumper and Trail horses for a trail riding company. Jen attended Lake Erie College for Equine Studies Teacher/Trainer and has trained under some of the best trainers. Those trainers include Robert O Mayer and Tom Bihn, the former presiident of the National Spotted Draft Association. Specializing in retraining ottbs and young horses, Jen has had horses she trained compete and win at several local and national show circuits. She will treat your horse as if it is her own, bringing the both of you to your highest potential.
